Bandit...

I had seen a classified ad in a Washington paper for this cabby. I called a couple of times, and got no answer, so I had pretty much given up on buying this one.

Then as luck would have it, I saw it up for auction on ebay, just an hour after it was listed. I immediately contacted the seller via ebay, and let them know that I had seen the ad in the paper, and had been trying to contact them for weeks.

I made the guy an offer, he countered it, and we had a deal. He pulled the ebay auction, and 2 days later, I made a trip to Washington to pick him up.

Here are some "before" pictures. (click to enlarge images)

Updates...

Mainly due to the fact that he was in such great shape when I got him, Bandit has only undergone a few mechanical changes so far.

However, he has undergone a TON of cosmetic changes, including complete auto body work and paint, thanks to an amazing boy, who knows how to give a girl one hell of a Christmas surprise.

Hopes and Plans...

There are only a few final touches that need to be done on Bandit. Since he runs quite well with the stock motor and the addition of the headers, most of the performance changes to Bandit in the future will pretty much be just regular upkeep and maintenance.

As far as cosmetics go, the "theme" I designed for him, involved ideas inspired by the Trans Am from "Smokey and The Bandit" (click pic), hence the chosen name of "Bandit" for this cabby. A simple black and gold theme, with lots of bling and a few pretty baller (at least in my opinion) touches.
