Minxy...

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lucky, who had a cabby dream. She dreamed of taking an average cabby, and making it into something really special. She had it painted, and restored, and began to make her little car very pimp.

Unfortunately, she got totally ripped off, and f-ed over by a bad man named Charley, who did a super crappy job on the body work and paint. This made Lucky very sad, and every time she would play with her car, she would get angry and resentful at the bad man named Charley, for treating her dream like it was junk.

To top it off, she had planned on putting a big engine in it, to really make it super fast and fabulous, but when her mechanic was looking at the car, he made a note of the shitty body work, and the bondo repair job the bad man named Charley had done.

He told Lucky that he would still put the engine in it if she wanted him to, but that the torque from the big new engine would most likely put too much strain on the bondo areas, and would end up cracking it, damaging it further, and making it look like crap down the road.

So after talking to her friend Matt extensively about it, she decided she knew what she had to do about it, to fix it. Thus began her search for a 91'-'93 cabby with a straight body, and no bondo, to be Kitty's clone.

OK, this talking in 3rd person shit ain't easy.

So I searched Craigslist, ebay, as well as classifieds all over the Pacific Northwest, in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming, and I even searched the mid-west as well, in Illinois, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota, since I have loads of friends and family all over there.

And I finally found her, in a mid-west craigslist ad.

Updates...

  Absolutely nothing POSITIVE on the update front. Since purchasing Minxy, she's rusted more, she's got a broken emergency brake, and worse than that, she seems to have a completely blown up engine now.

With the serious disappointment already beginning, she's becoming more like Kitty every day. I can only hope the end of the story for Minxy doesn't end up the same.

Hopes and Plans...

  As stated in the "Before" section, this car is going to be everything that Kitty had been inteded to be. She will be the super-clean, completely pimped show-cabby, with some serious metallic flake paint. She will have more chrome and shiny bits than any other cabby evar. No expense will be spared, if I can help it.
