Roxy...

Over on The152, we have a thread called "The Spotted Thread" where members post pictures of other cabriolets they may see out and about. Well, my friend Matt made this post, and when I saw the "For Sale" sign in the picture, with a price of "$500 - FIRM" and a phone number, I couldn't resist.

A rare Bordeaux Red 1991 Etienne Aigner Edition, in amazingly good condition for $500?! I knew I had to have her. So I called the number shown in the pictures, and immediately began making arrangements to figure out how to make the purchase, and make arrangements to get to Maryland to pick her up.

Thankfully, my friend Matt is an amazing guy, who went to all the trouble of handling the purchase of the car for me. Then I purchased a plane ticket, and flew out to pick her up, and drive her back home to Montana.

Though not without a few mis-haps along the way, of course. On the way home from picking her up on the east coast, she broke down a few times on me, due to a hot start issue that is known to automatic cabriolets, and I'll tell ya...the girl is a dirty whore....she had all kinds of boy's hands all over all the way home. (See next tab.)

Updates...

Roxy has only undergone a few mechanical repairs since I got her... most of them happening on the way home from picking her up in Maryland.

Repairs
    • New starter
    • New battery
    • Exhaust leak fixed

I simply cannot thank Matt enough, for all he did to help get Roxy home. He drove 500+ miles to come help me out in the middle of BF-PA to get her a new starter, and get her rolling again. And he even gave up a 7 year McDonalds boycott, just for me. <3 I owe that boy a ton! <3

Hopes and Plans...

Due to the fact that Roxy is a special edition, there isn't much I will be changing about her. She could use a respray, and eventually a new top, but there's really no rush on either of those things. For now, since she's such a rare color, and a special edition, the plan is to keep her (mostly) stock.

Performance...     • Lowering suspension     • New seals, filters, belts, etc.     • Fix cruise control     • Get her running to optimal performance     • New tires

Cosmetic...     • Complete body work and re-spray.     • New top and headliner     • Custom gauge faces..? Tunes...     • Amp and subwoofer
