Tink '82
Cabriolet
Cabriolet

Tink...I found Tink on the Washington Craigslist, with a Just-Right price tag of $500. She was in pretty decent shape, and the kid was only selling her because he bought a motorcycle, and was going to college, and he said he could only afford to keep one. Lucky for me, he chose to keep the bike. So I made a wee road trip to Seattle, and brought her home on the trailer. Below are some "before" pictures. (click to enlarge images)
Updates...Mainly due to the fact that she was in halfway decent shape (on the surface) when I got her, Tink has only undergone a few mechanical improvements/changes so far.
|
Performance / Maintenance
• Wee bit of re-wiring some screwy wiring • New battery • New battery terminals |
Cosmetic Mods
• New (to her) Le Castelette wheels |
Hopes and Plans...Tink needs far more mechanical work than I had anticipated. Once I got her home and got a good look at her, I realized that she is definitely going to require some serious attention. It appears she was once in an accident, and has some issues to the frame in front.
In addition to the body work and structural reinforcements she will need, she will need to be completely rewired. It appears that one of the previous owners went to town on the wiring as if it was some 4th grade science experiment. In other words, it's f***ed.
